We can never be fully prepared for unforseen circumstances. However, if we are realistic about the world we live in, we’ll “keep watch” by nurturing our mind, body and soul in advance. We’ll keep our “lamp full of oil” for major life’s events.”
Matthew 25:1-10

Before we share these tips, we want to caution about using them without Godly discernment. In the wrong circumstances, these tips may be acts of selfishness, but with Godly discernment, they may help you in preserving your inner peace. The key is to keep watch at all times, my friend.
Let’s dive into Mathew 25:1-10
Three other ways to preserve your inner peace during adversities:
#1 Do not share your oil.
There are times in life when you have to switch from giving to preserving what you have. In the parable of the 10 virgins, the wise ones had enough wisdom to preserve the oil they had for the big event and not share it with the foolish ones. Yes, we are called to be generous and take care of each other on this planet. However, too much giving and not enough self-nurturing can leave us empty. With Godly discernment, you will know in your heart when to give more, when to lean in or when to let go.
Until then, whatever gives you peace keep that close.
#2 Stay in the castle.
Sometimes you may need to go out of your way to save other people. Some other times, it may be best to let them fetch their own oil. Even God refrains from spoonfeeding us all the time. He gives us just enough to grow. He pushes you out of the nest and urges you to use your wings to fly. Just as the wise virgins encouraged the foolish ones to go buy their own oil for the wedding, at times, we need to let people sort out their own challenges so they can save themselves,
During adversities, wherever gives you comfort, stay there.
#3 Enjoy your seat.
It’s easy to start feeling guilty about being happy and comfortable while others aren’t. Most times, that guilt is a lie from the enemy trying to keep the whole world in darkness together. Beware!
Thus, whenever you start to experience inner peace, the peace that only God can provide, while you are going through difficulties, enjoy it to the fullest. You are worth it!
Remember in applying these tips, you can always pray for your brothers and sisters and let God be the one to save them out of their own situations.
